I was especially taken by the restaurant’s resurrection of that classic New Orleans Creole dish, Oysters Bienville. these delicate mollusks – topped with a butter-rich bechamel studded with chopped shrimp and mushrooms – brought back memories of decadent roasted oysters done right.

Low Country Cooking comes to Old City
Chef Joe Battista brings his love of Coastal Carolina “low country” cuisine to Old City Philadelphia. The menu highlights foods local to the Charleston SC region including seafood (especially oysters), heirloom grains and fresh produce. The bar includes a selection of craft beers, carefully constructed wine list and a fully stocked bar with an emphasis on bourbons and whiskeys.
